France, Belgium lead European Russian LNG imports in 2026

France and Belgium were the largest European buyers of Russian LNG in the first nine months of 2026, importing 4.7 million metric tons and 2.9 million tons respectively. The Netherlands ranked third with 1.8 million tons. Kommersant reported the data, citing energy analytics firm Kpler.
