Wallenius Wilhelmsen eyes up to 12 more car carriers

Wallenius Wilhelmsen has raised about NOK2.88bn ($300m) in fresh equity as it prepares to add four large LNG dual-fuel car carriers with options for another eight. The Oslo-listed group completed a private placement late on Tuesday, issuing 17.145m shares at NOK168 each. The company said the proceeds, together with debt financing, would be used to fund the newbuild programme.
