Fort Breendonk in Willebroek, Belgium
Fort van Breendonk is a historical transit camp and Nazi prison located in Willebroek, Belgium. Constructed between 1906 and 1913, it served as a detention center for political prisoners, resistance members, and Jews during World War II. The camp was notorious for its poor living conditions rather than the number of deaths. It had more SS guards than prisoners.
