Trade group crunches numbers on Trump’s impossible push for 100% US-made tech
The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) has estimated that President Trump's push for 100% U.S.-made technology could cost tech firms up to $230 billion.
The estimate is based on a study by the CTA, which found that the proposed tariffs and other barriers to trade would increase the cost of goods and services for consumers, while also hurting U.S. jobs and economic growth.
The study also found that the proposed policies could lead to a significant reduction in U.S. exports, further damaging the economy.
