Christa Pike, a death row inmate in Tennessee, is severely ill and shackled to her hospital bed. Her lawyers request to unshackle her was refused, and a judge orders preservation of all execution evidence.

Pike is unable to move her arms or swallow, and has a blood clot and pneumonia.
