Fanuc: Near-Term Headwinds Overshadow Long-Term Tailwinds

Fanuc, a Japanese robotics manufacturer, held a press conference to discuss its financial results for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2023. The company reported a 14.3% increase in net sales and a 15.3% increase in operating profit compared to the previous year.

However, the company also warned of near-term headwinds due to supply chain disruptions and a slowdown in demand for its products in the automotive industry.

Fanuc's president, Yoshiharu Inaba, expressed confidence in the company's long-term prospects, citing strong demand for its products in the semiconductor and logistics industries.
