Bitcoin and ether holders urged to enter ‘bunker mode’ against possible AI attacks

Ethereum researchers have warned that artificial intelligence could potentially break the signatures guarding bitcoin, ether, and tokens built on them within months, not years, in the worst-case scenario, even before quantum computers arrive.

However, the researchers also noted that this is a worst-case scenario and that the likelihood of such an attack happening is low.

The warning comes as the cryptocurrency market continues to face regulatory challenges and market volatility.
