Seatrium bags first FSRU conversion for Excelerate

Seatrium, a Singapore shipyard group, has secured a contract from Excelerate Energy to convert an LNG carrier into a Floating Storage Regasification Unit (FSRU). This is Seatrium's first FSRU conversion for Excelerate. Financial terms were not disclosed. Engineering work is set to begin in the fourth quarter of this year, with delivery expected in the second quarter of 2024.
