SIM-Swap Fraudster Who Spent Stolen Crypto on Gold Grills and Dubai Trips Jailed

A SIM-swap fraudster, Ajay Shinjin, has been sentenced to 22 months in prison for his role in a crypto theft that occurred in November 2021. Shinjin helped steal nearly $265,000 in cryptocurrency from BT customers by hijacking their phone numbers. He spent a significant portion of the stolen funds on luxury items such as gold grills and trips to Dubai.
