CMB.TECH sends world’s first ammonia-powered bulker to sea

Belgium’s CMB.TECH has sent the 210,000 dwt Mineral Europa on its maiden voyage to Australia, marking the first deployment of an ammonia-powered dry bulk carrier. The 2026-built newcastlemax is the first of a much larger ammonia-fuelled fleet being rolled out by the Alexander Saverys-led shipping group.
