Two Renoir paintings stolen from French museum are recovered

The two paintings, 'Portrait of a Woman (Madame Charpentier)' and 'Young Woman in a Green Dress', were stolen from the Musée d'Art et d'Histoire in Nice. The theft occurred on October 12, with the thieves cutting through a fence and smashing a window to gain entry. The paintings, valued at around 100 million euros, were recovered by police in the nearby town of Mouans-Sartoux.
