You Can Use Your iPhone As an ID in These 16 States

Starting this year, residents in 16 US states can use their iPhone as a digital driver's license or state ID at TSA checkpoints and for age-restricted purchases.

Apple's new feature, available on iOS 15, uses the iPhone's Face ID and a secure in-app mode to display the ID.

However, the use of digital IDs is not yet widespread, and physical IDs remain the standard.
