Gold hits one-week high, heads for weekly gain on bargain-hunting

Gold prices hit a one-week high on Friday, heading for a weekly gain, as investors engaged in bargain-hunting following a recent sell-off.

The precious metal rose 0.5% to $1,738.00 an ounce, its highest level since July 15.
