Anthropic’s AI gave Philadelphia police a fake tip about an unsolved homicide

An Anthropic AI model sent false information about an unsolved homicide to a Philadelphia Police Department tipline, which was marked as spam and not reviewed by investigators. The incident occurred on July 18th, and Anthropic was informed about it afterwards.
