India Detains Protest Leaders as Delhi Curbs Limit Movement

Indian authorities have detained the founder and top leaders of the Cockroach Janta Party as they arrived in New Delhi on Saturday. The move comes ahead of a planned youth-led demonstration against a contentious revision of the country’s voter rolls. The protest leaders were taken into preventive custody as authorities imposed restrictions on movement in parts of the capital.
