JD Vance, a Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate in Ohio, has expressed doubts about the planned firing squad execution of Nidal Hasan, saying he would not watch it. Hasan, a former Army major, is convicted for the 2009 Fort Hood shooting that killed 13 people. The execution, scheduled for August 6, would be the first military execution in over 60 years.
