Japan Launches Seventh Taigei-Class Submarine ‘Shogei’ With Improved Detection Capabilities

The Japanese government has launched the seventh Taigei-class submarine, named 'Shogei'. The 3,000-tonne diesel-electric submarine is equipped with improved detection capabilities and is expected to be delivered to the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) in March 2028.
