When is Navratri in 2026? And what are the nine forms of Durga worshipped during the nine days?

Navratri, a nine-night Hindu festival, is dedicated to Goddess Durga and her nine forms, known as Navadurga. The festival begins on the first day of the Hindu calendar month of Ashvin, which usually falls in September or October. This year, in 2026, Navratri will be celebrated from October 10 to October 18. Each of the nine days is dedicated to a different form of Durga, with specific rituals and worship practices.
