AMD: CPU Boom Lifts Target To $1,200
Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) has seen a significant increase in demand for its central processing units (CPUs), leading to a surge in its stock price. The company's shares have more than doubled in the past year, driven by strong sales of its Ryzen and EPYC processors.
The company has also benefited from a slowdown in the growth of its main competitor, Intel. AMD has gained market share as a result and is now the second-largest supplier of CPUs for personal computers.
