Shagang moves into shipbuilding with Tianjin venture

China's largest privately owned steelmaker, Shagang, has entered the shipbuilding business with the establishment of a wholly owned subsidiary in Tianjin, joining a growing procession of industrial groups capitalizing on China's booming newbuilding market.
