Centre asks states to go into ‘mission mode’ to curb stubble burning as farm fires rise in MP, Rajasthan

The Indian government has directed several states, including Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi-NCR, to intensify efforts to prevent stubble burning.

This comes amidst a rise in farm fires in these regions, which contribute to air pollution.

The states have been asked to implement action plans and effective monitoring strategies to control the issue.
