India hosts first BIMSTEC Home Ministers’ meeting, Delhi Declaration adopted

India hosted the first BIMSTEC (Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation) Home Ministers’ meeting, resulting in the adoption of the Delhi Declaration.

The meeting, attended by home ministers from Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Thailand, discussed regional security, counter-terrorism, and disaster management.

The Delhi Declaration emphasizes cooperation in these areas and aims to strengthen regional ties.
