Rules, London’s oldest restaurant, donated to National Trust

Rules, London's oldest restaurant, has been donated to the National Trust. The historic eatery in Covent Garden has changed hands only three times in 228 years and has been a staple of London's theatreland since 1798.

The donation will ensure that the restaurant's history and heritage are preserved for future generations.

The National Trust will now manage the restaurant and maintain its historic interior and decor.
