US tech giants warn Europe that ditching US tech giants could cost €115B

US tech giants, including Amazon, Google, and Meta, have warned the European Union that its plans to reduce dependence on US cloud services could cost the EU up to €115 billion. The companies, members of a lobby group called Cloud Infrastructure Services Europe, argue that the EU's cloud sovereignty initiative could lead to higher costs and reduced innovation for European businesses.
