India news, 14 October 2026: ‘Satellite internet subject for discussion,’ says Parliamentary panel amid Musk row

A parliamentary panel in India has stated that the topic of satellite internet, which has been in the news due to Elon Musk's Starlink project, is under discussion. The panel is reportedly looking into the regulatory framework for satellite-based internet services.

The topic is of global interest, but it does not directly impact seafarers at this time as it is still in the discussion phase and does not yet affect maritime communication services.
