Pleas filed in SC, Delhi HC against de-notification of Jantar Mantar as protest site

The Indian Youth Congress (IYC) has filed pleas in the Supreme Court and Delhi High Court challenging the de-notification of Jantar Mantar as a protest site. The IYC president Uday Bhanu Chib filed the application on Wednesday, stating that the organization was denied permission to hold a demonstration at Jantar Mantar. The order, issued on October 11, removed Jantar Mantar from the list of designated protest sites and named alternative locations in east Delhi.
