China exports surge past expectations in Sept; trade surplus widens

China’s exports jumped sharply above expectations in September, while imports also exceeded expectations, showing resilience in external demand despite domestic economic challenges. Exports in U.S. dollar terms jumped 36.3% year-on-year, accelerating from 25.0% growth in August.
