Montana rancher’s rare Nanotyrannus fossil goes on display ahead of $9M auction

A rare Nanotyrannus fossil, named Jodi, discovered by Montana rancher Jodi Pierson, will be exhibited at Sotheby’s in New York before a $6-9 million auction on October 27.

The nearly 70 percent complete skeleton has sparked interest among paleontologists and collectors due to its rarity and well-preservation.
