BS7 emission norms rollout proposed from April 2029: Report

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has approved a proposed timeline for Bharat Stage 7 (BS7) emission norms, set to begin in April 2029. The rules will be introduced in phases over six years, ending in April 2035, and align with Europe’s Euro 7 standards. The first phase will cover two-wheelers and small cars, followed by larger vehicles in subsequent phases.
