Guangzhou and Hong Kong open electric container shuttle

Guangzhou Port has launched the Greater Bay Area’s first zero-carbon container route, using a battery-electric vessel to carry furniture and consumer goods between Nansha and Hong Kong.

The 240 teu Sui Gang Dian Hang 02 opened the route this week, marking a significant step towards reducing emissions in the shipping industry.
