India has dismissed claims by a US lawmaker regarding voter roll deletions, stating they interfere with its democratic practices.

The Ministry of External Affairs and India's Ambassador to the US have both rejected these allegations as unacceptable.

The Election Commission of India is currently conducting a national voter list purification and revision program.
