Centre expands Census enumerator pool to include private school teachers, clerks

The Centre has expanded the pool of Census enumerators to include teachers and clerks from various educational institutions and establishments.

This includes teachers from government, local authority, aided or unaided private bodies, societies, and trusts.

The Census Rules were first published in the Gazette of India.
