ReCAAP ISC Holds Dialogue with Shipping Industry to Discuss Efforts and Best Practices to Combat Piracy and Sea Robbery in Asia

The ReCAAP Information Sharing Centre (ISC) held a dialogue with shipping industry representatives to discuss efforts and best practices to combat piracy and armed robbery against ships in Asia. From January to September 2026, 50 incidents were reported, with 11 involving crew kidnapping or hostage-taking.
