Transworld gets green light for $43m boxship deal

India’s Transworld Shipping Lines has secured shareholder approval for the acquisition of two containerships, clearing a key hurdle in its ongoing fleet restructuring.

The Navi Mumbai-based listed owner disclosed that shareholders had backed the purchase of the 2006-built OEL Surya and OEL Varun, valued at $42.78m.
