MOL and Deutsche ReGas shake hands on FSRU for German LNG terminal

Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) and Deutsche ReGas have agreed to convert an LNG carrier into a Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) for a German LNG terminal. The FSRU will be chartered to Deutsche ReGas from 2028.

This deal is a significant step in Germany's plans to diversify its energy sources and reduce its reliance on Russian gas. It also reflects the growing demand for LNG in Europe and the increasing role of FSRUs in facilitating LNG imports.
