Key Changes and Requirements
1. Exemption for Trainees/Cadets
Trainees and cadets are exempted from the implementation of M.S. (Maritime Labour) Rules, 2016 in respect of payment of wages applicable to other seafarers under prevailing Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs).
- Exempted Provisions: Payment of wages as per CBAs for other seafarers
- Applicable Provisions: All other provisions for seafarers, except those exempted under the said M.S. Notice No. 4 of 2017
