Key Changes and Requirements

Newly approved maritime training institutes can apply for additional intake of GP rating candidates.

Eligibility: Approved institutes can apply for additional intake after placing the initial 40 students on board.
Application: Institutes should approach the Directorate General of Shipping (DGS) for additional intake.

Note: Existing institutes applying for additional intake must also comply with the placement criteria.

Important Note

Institutes should ensure they are eligible in accordance with the guidelines and circulars issued by the DGS from time to time.
