Key Changes and Requirements
1. Periodical Statements Submission
All service stations must submit statements every 6 months during the certificate's validity.
- Submission: Within one month of every 6-month period
- Inclusions: All jobs, customer feedback forms (signed by 'Competent Person' and ship's officer)
- Consequence of non-submission: Suspension of certificate
2. Renewal Procedure and Documents
Renewal applications must be submitted at least 3 months before expiry.
- Fees: Applicable processing fees must be submitted
- Documents: As per respective checklists available on DGS website
- Age limit: MEO Class I engineer for FFA service stations must be less than 65 or 70 years with age dispensation
- Training and agreement: Valid training certificate and agreement for LSA service stations
- Calibration: Measuring instruments calibrated at NABL accredited labs every 2 years or as specified by the lab/ISO standard
