Key Changes and Requirements
1. New Survey Procedures
Recognized Organizations (ROs) must now follow the procedures outlined in IACS Unified Requirement (UR) Z.21 for surveys of propeller shafts and tube shafts.
- ROs: Must follow UR Z.21 for surveys and extensions.
- Ship Owners/Managers: Must approach ROs for extensions and concurrently apply to DGS with processing fees.
- Overdue Surveys: Ship Owners/Managers must apply to DGS with processing fees.
