- NMD Award of Excellence: Honors lifetime exceptional achievements at the senior functional level in Indian Maritime Sector.
- Outstanding Contribution to Maritime Education and Training: Recognizes distinguished individuals for their sustained contribution to Maritime Education and Training.
- Gallantry Award to Indian Seafarers: Recognizes exemplary acts of Gallantry shown during the year ended 31.12.2015.
- Best Foreign Employer of Indian Seafarers: Recognizes the best foreign employer of Indian seafarers.
- Most Compassionate Employer of Indian Seafarers: Recognizes the most compassionate employer of Indian seafarers.
- Indian Shipping Company with Highest Growth of Indian Flag Vessels: Recognizes the Indian shipping company with the highest growth of Indian flag vessels.
- Ship (Indian Flag in Foreign Trade) of the Year: Recognizes the best Indian flag ship in foreign trade.
- Youngest Officer awarded IInd Mate Certificate of Competency in 2015: Recognizes the youngest officer awarded the IInd Mate Certificate of Competency in 2015.
- Youngest Officer awarded MEO Class IV Certificate of Competency in 2015: Recognizes the youngest officer awarded the MEO Class IV Certificate of Competency in 2015.

2. Nomination Process and Deadline
Nominations should be sent to the National Maritime Day Celebrations (Central) Committee with full details of nominees latest by 26th February, 2016.
Applications received after the due date will not be considered.
