1. National Maritime Day Celebrations and Awards — 52nd edition, 'Make in India' theme
The 52nd National Maritime Day Celebrations will be held from 30th March to 5th April 2015, with the theme 'Make in India – an opportunity for the maritime sector'. Several awards will be given to recognize and honor individuals and companies for their contributions to the Indian maritime sector.
- Awards: Varuna Award, NMD Award of Excellence, Outstanding Contribution to Maritime Education and Training, Gallantry Award, Best Foreign Employer, Most Compassionate Employer, Highest Growth of Indian Flag Vessels, Ship of the Year, Youngest Officer awards, and Rating awards.
2. Nomination and Deadline — Nominations due by 4th March 2015
Nominations for the awards should be sent to the National Maritime Day Celebrations (Central) Committee with full details of the nominees by 4th March 2015. Late applications will not be considered.
