Key Changes and Requirements

The rank category notation in the existing CDC booklets will be dispensed with immediately.

Action: Shipping Masters will mark the rank column as 'XXX' and inscribe that the rank requirement has been dispensed with.

The rank column will be removed from future CDC booklets.

II/4 No further action required from seafarers regarding rank category notation.

Important Note

Seafarers are advised to update their records and remove any rank category notation from their existing CDC booklets.
