Key Changes and Requirements

Pre-sea trainees can choose to obtain their Continuous Discharge Certificate (CDC) from Shipping Offices in Mumbai, Kolkata, or Chennai.

Choice: Trainees must choose one Shipping Office for all CDC-related issues.
Final: The choice is final and binding for the trainee's seafaring career.

Maritime Training Institutes (MTIs) must:

Inform: Apprise trainees about the finality of their choice.
Forward: Send CDC applications to the chosen Shipping Master.
Undertaking: Obtain trainee and MTI undertakings in the CDC application form.
