1. Mandatory Safety Measures
All Indian-flagged merchant vessels must implement specific shipboard plans and procedures for man overboard situations.
- Plan Content: Details of rescue equipment, drills, and emergency procedures.
- Approval: Plans must be approved by the Master and the Company.
- Training: All crew members must be familiar with the plan and their roles.
