Key Changes and Requirements

The approved Engineering Management Course will be conducted for a period of 2 months at the following institutes:

Institutes: Marine Engineering Research Institute, Kolkata, Mumbai, and National Institute of Port Management, Chennai

Upon completion of the course, candidates must pass:

Engineering Management Paper: 3-hour written examination at the Marine Machinery Department (MMD)
Oral Examination: Conducted at the same MMD after passing the written examination

Note: All assessments of eligibility will be done at the MMDs in Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai.

Important Note

The first Engineering Management Examination will be held in January 2004 and regularly thereafter.
