Key Changes and Requirements
1. Decentralization of CDC Issuance — individual category
The issuance of new Continuous Discharge Certificates (CDCs) for individual category (excluding Higher National Diploma CDCs) has been decentralized to the offices of Shipping Masters in Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai.
- Applicants: Seafarers applying for individual category CDCs must submit their applications themselves.
- Guidelines: Applicants should follow the guidelines prescribed in M.S. Notice 24 of 2012.
2. Centralized Processing for Specific CDCs — pre-sea training, HND category
The processing and issuance of the following CDCs will continue to be handled by the Shipping Master, GSO, Mumbai:
- Pre-sea training CDCs: Issuance follows the guidelines in M.S. Notice 23 of 2012.
- Higher National Diploma category CDCs: Issuance is processed and issued only from the office of Shipping Master, Mumbai.
