Key Changes and Requirements
1. Authorised Facilitation Centres
CMMI and IMEI are authorised to issue Watch Keeping Certificates (WKC) and Tanker Endorsements (TE) to ratings, petty officers, and trainee officers of non-INSA/MASSA/FOSMA/ICCSA member companies.
- CMMI: Deck ratings, petty officers, deck cadets, and other deck department categories.
- IMEI: Engine room ratings, petty officers, and engineer officer trainees.
2. Application and Verification
Shipping companies, RPSL agencies, and training institutes must intimate their authorised signatory details to CMMI and IMEI. Prompt response to verification/authentication requests is advised.
II/4 CMMI and IMEI will start functioning from Mumbai initially, by 16.05.2013.
Important Note
CMMI and IMEI must follow all procedures mentioned in NT/Engineering Circular No. 12 of 2012 and other guidelines issued on the subject.
