Key Changes and Requirements
1. Duration of Phase-I Course
The duration of the Chief Mate (Phase-I) course has been increased to 3 months in accordance with the revised IMO Model Course No. 7.01 (Master and Chief Mate).

Training institutes are advised to follow these guidelines in letter and spirit.
Important Note
All institutes are advised to comply with these guidelines with immediate effect, including the current Phase-I and Phase-II batches.
