Key Changes and Requirements
1. Expansion of Approved MTIs
The scope for approval of maritime institutes conducting Electro Technical Officer courses has been expanded to include:
- 1.1 MTIs approved for Engine Department courses, with prior NOC from DGS.
- 1.2 MTIs conducting 4-month Electro Technical Officer or equivalent courses in the last 2 years, meeting DGS requirements.
2. Application Process
Complying MTIs may apply to DGS for course approval. All other DGS guidelines apply.
