Key Changes and Requirements
1. Course Curriculum Revision
The course curriculum for One Year Marine Engineering Course (12 Months Shore Based Training) has been revised to align with the 2010 Manila Amendments to the STCW Convention.
- Course Duration: 1798 teaching hours
- Course Outline: Annexure-I
- Syllabus: Annexure-II
2. Transitional Provisions
Candidates starting Pre-Sea courses after 1st July 2012 will follow the revised curriculum. Those starting before this date will require an upgrade course unless the amendments have been included in their training.
II/1 - II/4 competencies are covered in the revised curriculum.

Training Institutes are expected to follow these guidelines strictly.
